The College of Community Association Lawyers was established by the Community Association Institute's (CAI) Board of Trustees in 1993. The purpose of The College is to acknowledge CAI member attorneys who have distinguished themselves through contributions to the evolution or practice of community association law and who have committed themselves to high standards of professional and ethical conduct in the practice of community association law. The College provides a forum for the exchange of information among experienced legal professionals for the purpose of the advancement of the community association field.

Goals:

****To promote high standards of professional and ethical responsibility in the practice of community association (CA) law through education
****To improve and advance CA law and practice
****To facilitate development of CA educational materials and programming, relating to legal issues, for use by professionals and homeowners by providing an insightful and successful community association law seminar and other programs
****To cooperate and consult with international, national, state, and local organizations, government agencies, and other groups having an interest in CA law and practice
****To encourage College members to use their expertise to make CA's function effectively
****To create an environment in which college members can work together to meet their professional needs and goals
****To achieve the goals and objectives of the CAI
