Full Time Community Association Manager

Tacoma Housing Authority efficiently develops, manages and owns affordable, high-quality, sustainable and attractive housing for low-income households. Its mission is to help low-income persons and families find and afford decent and safe places to live and prosper. We seek to do this in a way that strengthens our communities and makes them safe and attractive places to live, work, play and shop. Altogether, Tacoma Housing Authority provides housing or housing assistance to over 12,000 individuals, which represents 6% of Tacoma's population. We are seeking a new team member to fill the position of Community Association Manager to help us achieve our mission. The purpose of this position is to (i) assure that the Salishan Association and its members complies with all governing rules, particularly the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions and Easement (CC &R's), (ii) provide effective and creative help to the Salishan Community so it can organize and cohere as a neighborhood that is diverse by race, language, income, national origin, age, abilities, duration of residency, and homeowners and renters; (iii) organize and lead community efforts to maintain and improve the community's appearance, safety, activities and amenities; (iv) efficiently and effectively serve its members, and (v) effectively elicit and use the volunteer support of community members. Bachelor degree with major course work in Real Estate Management, Public Administration, Business or related field or equivealent experience. Four or more years experience in homeowner association and/or property management to include experience with US Housing and Urban Development (HUD) community development projects. Evidence of continued specialized training in target field. Three or more years experience with the home owner association laws and regulations, public agency real estate management, to include Tax Credit and Project Based properties. Two years experience in supervisory capacity. This is a full time position with exceptional benefits. EOE

EXPERIENCED LEGAL ASSISTANT / PARALEGAL -- COLLECTIONS Law firm located in Seattle has an opening for an experienced legal assistant/paralegal. Candidates with a minimum of 2 years experience working as a legal assistant/paralegal in the collection field is highly preferred. Qualified candidates will: have good communication and customer service skills, maintain a good working attitude while working under pressure and deadlines, be dependable, have litigation experience, have case management skills, be organized, be detail oriented, be able to multi task, be able to work independently yet be a team player, take direction from multiple staff members, be self motivated, and be ready to work hard. In this position, you will help the firm to serve our clients better by providing legal assistance to our clients and attorneys. Focus will be almost exclusively on collections with some general legal matters for our attorneys. Areas of responsibility will include: filing handling incoming and outgoing mail, calendaring, drafting letters, drafting legal documents, preparing and sending out documents via legal messengers, photocopying, word processing, internet research, and communicating with debtors and clients regarding multiple matters.
