2/10/18 Seminar Topic
Navigating Insurance and Claims, because it’s not a question of if, but when.
A seminar for board members, community association managers and unit owners
Understanding your policy, how to use it, and when to use it, can have a dramatic effect on the association budget, retention of board members and civility at your association. Your insurance policy is one the largest line items in the association budget, and when a claim occurs, it often creates constant headaches for the board and unit owners.
In this session participants will be given a base knowledge of the policies you purchase, understand what to expect from the insurance company when a claim occurs, and what is expected of you. You will also be given some tools to manage claims, setting expectations and lines of communication. Just as importantly, how to avoid problems when hiring contractors.
