Strategic Plan Approved

News,

The WSCAI Board of Directors is thrilled to announce that a new Strategic Plan has been completed and approved to guide our organization through the coming years. This plan is the result of nearly two years of thoughtful collaboration between our Board, staff, committee chairs, past leaders, community association managers, homeowners, business partners, and our Legislative Action Committee. Together, we crafted a comprehensive roadmap to ensure WSCAI continues to meet the evolving needs of our growing membership for years to come.

Growth, though good for us all, can bring growing pains. As part of the strategic planning process, the Board carefully evaluated the feedback from you, our chapter members, to ensure your voices are heard. This necessitated a review of our staffing structure to see how we would best be able to meet the chapter’s evolving needs long term. After much deliberation, we made the difficult decision to transition the WSCAI Journal to a quarterly publication. This means we had to make the even more difficult decision to sunset our multimedia design position by the end of 2025.

This was not an easy decision as Tara Matthews, a highly valued member of WSCAI’s team, was directly impacted. Tara served in this role for several years with creativity, professionalism, and dedication. Over the past month, we had open and supportive conversations with Tara to give her time and space to plan for her future. We are happy to share that she has already accepted a new position, and we wish her nothing but success in her next adventure. Please join us in thanking Tara for her incredible work and dedication to our chapter.

This change, while difficult, reflects our ongoing commitment to serving our more than 2,600 members. In the months ahead, we plan to welcome a new staff member to help support our rapidly expanding calendar of events and programs. Our strategic plan’s focus will be on delivering more educational opportunities, expanded member benefits, and meaningful ways for members to connect and thrive.

Thank you for being part of WSCAI’s continued growth and success. Together, we are building a stronger future for our community.
